A remote hospitality outpost deep in Iceland’s central highlands, Highland Base opens the door to a winter wonderland of adventure and relaxation. With two nights in this extreme frontier, you can hunt for the Northern Lights, explore the star-filled cosmos through a telescope, and luxuriate in the Highland Baths. Your highland holiday will also feature a guided Activity of the day, for example a snowshoeing trek that takes you into an untouched wilderness.
But the heart-pounding highlight of your journey will be a 60-minute snowmobile odyssey. Racing across the magnificent snowscapes of the Kerlingarfjöll nature reserve, you’ll ascend Fannborg mountain and glide through icy plains towards the mammoth Hofsjökull glacier.
